TERMINAL SOUND. (2023) dir. self
The Lowry, Salford
Writer/Composer/performer
Terminal Sound is a work in progress gig-theatre piece written and composed by Jack D’Arcy‘The Engineer’ has been brought into the home recording studio of a legendary artist, tasked with finishing his final album. All that has been left behind are copious, incomprehensible notes and cassette tapes. It’s his job to work through and complete this swan song—an album doused in morbidity, religiosity and sardonicism. As ‘The Engineer’ moves from mixing to recording, from tweaking to writing the songs, he begins to question whose final album this really is.

Bright. Young. Things. (2023) dir. Gráinne Flynn

A funny, fast-paced play about identity, truth and the challenge of finding out who you really are.On the set of a reality television show, six remarkable, young geniuses compete for the title ‘Britain’s Brainiest Child’. As the contestants battle it out round by round, the pressure mounts, and the spotlight gets harsher. Who will win and lose- and what exactly does winning mean anyway?

Bakkhai (2023) dir. Maisie Newman

GASH Theatre Need Some Space (2022) dir. Maddie Flint and Nathalie Ellis-Einhorn
Assembly Festival, Edinburgh Fringe
Sound Designer
“Boy, you’re an alien
Your touch, so foreign
Wanna be your victim
Ready for abduction”
- Katy Perry
Come aboard the Starship Gash for a voyage of interstellar sex-ploits…
Do aliens have body image issues too?
Is there a galaxy far-far-away enough from your ex?
What’s really at the centre of a blackhole?
(Spoiler alert: it’s Demi Lovato).
Gash Theatre tackles inter-dimensional bodies and sexualities,
speeding between astronaut striptease,
himbo space-drag worthy of Flash Gordon himself,
and waaaaay too many Rick and Morty references (one).
Houston, let's get NASAty.
